Funds for Fun
July 2011

Strengthening family life through frendship and faith

On Friday 22nd July, Keith McNally, President of the local Circle of the Catenian Association, presented a cheque for £1,000, that members of the local Circle had raised for the purpose, to Sister Mary Breslin, the Care Manager of St Joseph’s Residential Care Home, Albert Road, Bognor Regis.

The funds will be specifically utilised to offset the cost of outings that the Sisters arrange for the residents on a weekly basis to local places of interest. The picture shows Keith handing the cheque to Sister Mary in one of the gardens in the grounds of the home with other Sisters in attendance. Sister Mary said, "Our residents enjoy the outings, for which there is a continuing interest an demand, through which they remain fully engaged with the local environment and community, creating new memories for themselves." The Catenian Association is a voluntary organisation of men who are practising Catholics and who are interested in enjoying and promoting social contact with like minded individuals and their families. The members, who refer to each other as ‘Brother’, meet for dinner once a month at a local venue. Membership enquiries can be made direct to Keith at keith@homeplanit.co.uk.
