The Mass brought together parishioners, our clergy including Cardinal Cormac, civic and other guests, with friends from other parishes and organisations, together with priests who had served at St Richard's
The marquee was laid with a fine spread organised by the Social Committee.
The centrepiece was a cake made by Michael Oliver, topped with icing in the pattern of the Loire glass image of St Richard. The admirers included M Jacques Loire and his family from Chartres, at Mass, where their glass windows glowed in the evening sun. Then the cake was given a swift and appreciative coup de main by Fr Kieron and enjoyed by everyone.
