Our website takes our three churches onto the internet, linking with the Arundel and Brighton Diocesan directory and other Christian websites.
We serve firstly, our parishioners, then the wider Catholic and Christian public in the Diocese. Recently we have celebrated a monthly Mass in the Syro-Malabar rite, and Fr Waldemar Partyka celebrates Mass in Polish at 12 noon, at St Richard's church on Sundays. (Zapraszam serdecznie na Msze w jezyku polskim w Chichester, w kazda niedziele o godzinie 12.00 ks.)
We regularly exchange messages with our mission friends in Africa and across the world.
We publish the weekly bulletin for St Richard’s Parish (with Our Lady of the Assumption and St Peter’s Parish), giving up-to-date Mass times and parish news. Every feature is listed on the site map for easy reference. Simply click on the title and the page will come up.
We reflect the variety of Parish life: celebrations - events – personalities, including a section on our Pastoral Coordinating Group. Our reports and photos, with the bulletin and significant features, including our history, will remain available in our virtual archive. Older editions of the bulletin and the Vineyard (superseded by our new Parish Directory 2005, 2006, 2007 2008) will be retained on CD discs in the Parish Office, for reference. We went 'on line' in July 03 and recently we have been 'visited' by more than 1000 visitors a month from eighty countries all over the world, as far as Christmas Island, China and New Zealand! The New Zealand Opawa Baptist church at Christchurch featured our website pictures of the Annunciation stained glass at Bosham, designed by Majella Taylor, in their beautiful series of Advent cards! We were also pleased that St Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral in Dallas, Texas wished to make prints of David O'Connell's paintings of Stations of the Cross for their Lenten meditation, and also for a power point presentation for parishioners to use at home. In 2009 the All Saints Regional Catholic School in Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA, also used the Stations of the Cross pictures for a Lenten publication. This year there have been more requests from Australia and USA. Our website 'tour' photos were taken by Michael Oliver. Photos of our Jubilee Celebration Mass were taken by Karen Grantham-Smith, video by Alan Ware.
We include many photographs, working strictly to rules laid down by the Data Protection Act regarding privacy, and we protect the interests of young people by following the code prescribed by the Diocesan Child Protection Officer.
As we improve our design and technique we hope to use the website for access to a wide range of information of interest to Catholics.
We need to increase our reporting team. If you would like to contribute short accounts of Parish events, please contact our office. If you own a digital camera, and would like to take pictures at our events, please contact us. Our experienced website team can offer some instruction and advice on putting stories together. And we would like to hear from those interested in attending a short local course on the basic technicalities of website work.
Above all, please send comments, particularly suggestions for improvement, to our office. Or, more easily, simply write them on the guest page. I hope you will continue to enjoy "logging on" and keeping abreast of our progress.

I am delighted that yet another parish in the diocese has its own website. If we don't communicate our message through the internet then we are missing one of the best and most important opportunities we have, especially if we want a dialogue with young people - that's where a lot of their dialogue happens. I look forward to the day when all of our parishes are open to the world like this.
