"Always be ready to make your defence to anyone who demands of you an accounting for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence." (1 Peter 3:15)

Introduction

For some time now I have been aware of the need at parish level for an additional form of communication which complements the other catechetical work being done in the sacramental programmes and regular homilies. It is sometimes problematic for many people to attend talks and lectures in the evenings even though these are valuable occasions for our lifelong Christian formation. I hope that this letter will be the first of many in which I will endeavour to shed some light on particular teachings and also keep us all up to date with the latest developments.

I sincerely hope and pray that it will be of value to each one of us in our journey of "faith seeking understanding ".
