Ramblers & Amblers
A number of different walks are organised by parishioners, to suit different energy levels. They all take place locally, both at the weekends and during the week. All walks are publicised in the Newsletter, where you can find details of times and days and where to meet.
The Short Amble is a slow paced short walk giving less active parishioners a chance to meet socially for some fresh air; the Amble is a longer walk. Both the Short Amble and the Amble walks usually end up at a cafe or pub for a drink, a chat and/or lunch.
The Hike is a more strenuous walk for the more energetic parishioners and usually involves a hill or two. You are required to bring along your own lunch to eat en route.
Please look out for the next walk in the Newsletter, to suit you.
The older members of the parish meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month (except August) at Our Lady, Bosham after the 12.15pm Mass for The Event. A light lunch is served, followed by a talk from a guest speaker and a raffle. There is no charge for lunch but guests are asked to buy £2 of raffle tickets and the money raised goes to charity. Each year a few trips out to gardens or areas of interest are organised.
Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and newcomers to the area are particularly welcome.
Lifts to Bosham can be arranged, please speak with the Parish Office for more details.
